The Forgotten Evolutionist

Alfred Russel Wallace – The Forgotten Evolutionist

Showing 5th November 2008 – 8th March 2010
Venue University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge

This exhibition explores the life, ideas and surviving collections of Wallace, the physical hard-ships he endured during his travels, and his contributions to the theories of Natural Selection and Evolution.

Please post your comments. I look forward to discussing the themes of this exhibition in the near future.

Many Thanks,

  1. I wish I was in England to come and see the show! I am a Masters in Fine Arts student in Singapore’s Lasalle College of Fine Arts, currently doing research on Malay science in 1850s, at the time of Wallace’s expeditions. I like particularly how you give respect to science and the scientist while showing the ambiguities or limitations of their research.
I hope to hear more from you soon!
